The owner's manual
your house never
came with.

Every home runs on information nobody writes down. The filter size. The paint code. When the water heater went in. Which weekend the gutters are due. CastleWise keeps the records, sends the reminders, and guides the projects. And when something breaks, you point the camera at it.

Free for every beta tester. When it launches it will be $9.99 once, with no subscription and no account.

How it works

Four jobs, one app.

Most home apps are a reminder list with a subscription. This one actually knows things.

01

Write it down once

Snap the data plate, save the paint code, log the filter size. Starter packs mean you never face a blank form.

02

Let it remind you

Seasonal checklists four times a year, plus every date worth a nudge: filters, service visits, renewals.

03

Plan and build

Guides that call out the classic mistake first, and calculators that turn an idea into an exact shopping list.

04

And when it breaks

Describe it or photograph it. Codes read, problems matched, and an honest call on DIY versus calling a pro.

What's inside

Everything, in one place.

Built over a year of nights and weekends, then rebuilt from beta feedback.

Home records

Twelve categories covering appliances, HVAC, water, paint, flooring, safety, exterior, service history, and tests and inspections like radon and water quality. Photos, exports for insurance, and full search.

Reminders that fit a house

Editable seasonal checklists, plus home dates for filter changes, HVAC service, smoke detector batteries, septic pumping, insurance renewals, and holiday lights. Set how far ahead you want the nudge.

Guides and calculators

86 full projects, each calling out the mistake first-timers make. 1,600 more you can vote into existence. Eleven calculators, a know-how library, and a 100-term trade dictionary in plain words.

Electrical panel map

Label every breaker in a grid that looks like your panel door. It knows your panel brand and tells you the exact breaker to buy, because Square D QO and Homeline are not interchangeable. Sub-panels included.

FixLens

267 verified error codes across 53 brands. 120 problem playbooks from squeaky floors to sewage smells. Runs on your phone. When it doesn't know, it says so instead of guessing.

Your house, your way

Name it whatever you call it. Give every room its own icon and color from 54 symbols and 12 shades. The app builds your rooms during setup, then gets out of the way.

Free versus Pro

Try the whole thing first.

The free tier is not a demo. It is enough to know whether this belongs on your phone.

The subscription apps

$20+/year

Account required. Data linked to your identity. A reminder list with a yearly bill.

CastleWise

$9.99 once

No account. No cloud. No analytics tracking you. Yours forever, and free for the whole beta.

The part that's rare

Private on purpose.

It stays on your phone

Photos are analyzed on your iPhone. Records live on your device. No account to create, nothing synced to a server you cannot see.

A library, not a guess

Answers come from a hand-built library, checked entry by entry. The optional Expert Check is clearly labeled when you choose to use it.

Honest about limits

Gas, main panels, structural work: the app says call a licensed pro, plainly. The DIY-safe badge means something because it is not automatic.

Two minutes to install

Join the beta.

Testers get everything unlocked for free and a direct line to the person building it. The app has changed a lot because of feedback like yours.

  1. Install TestFlight from the App Store first. It is free, made by Apple, and this only works if it is already on your phone.
  2. Email features@castlewise.app with the word BETA and your invite link comes back fast.
  3. Open the link on your iPhone, tap Install, and CastleWise lands on your home screen.
  4. Tap the $9.99 upgrade with your Apple ID to unlock everything. TestFlight never charges testers.
